Prof. Matt Dombrowski

School of Visual Arts and Design

I am an Orlando, Florida based artist who currently teaches visual arts and animation for the University of Central Florida. My research has been continually coupled with my teaching philosophy and experience at UCF. My artwork focuses on simulated environments, as art is a very interdisciplinary field. Most recently, I worked with a fellow colleague to produce “Cu Na Mara” a time arts work that will be featured in the Mikro Makro Festival in Poland. As well as university research, I freelance for Disney, Orlando Magic, T. G. Lee, and Mizuno Golf, to name a few.

In my personal, fine art related works, my realities are simulated; I want the viewer to be absorbed in my art, as he would be absorbed in his own memories. I believe the computer has become an extension of our minds. I strongly feel that digital art is meant for so much more than merely industry work, but can be developed and utilized in the international world of contemporary art.
