A Tele-social glove – A Tele-social tool

A handshake is one of non-verbal form of social behaviors in which two individuals grasp one of each other’s hands. A handshake is important since it is a part of the first impression that would affect one’s confidence level and personality. This project is about designing, developing and evaluating of a tele-handshaking device referred to as a Tele-social glove. The Tele-social glove is designed with multiple force sensitive sensors (FSR) and a telecommunication unit to exchange handshaking data such as contact points of fingers and theirs pressure levels. The ultimate goal of the project is to enhance online social attitudes.
